"The Basket, the Burden, and the Breath of God" (Zechariah 5:5-11) - Daily Manna - 08/06/26

Wickedness may be powerful, but it is never more powerful than the Lord.
In Zechariah’s seventh vision, an ordinary measuring basket becomes a vivid picture of injustice, idolatry, and evil hidden within the land. Yet the vision does not end with wickedness escaping or prevailing. God exposes it, confines it, and carries it away by His Ruach and covenant faithfulness.
This teaching explores the distorted measure, the woman called Wickedness, and the mysterious winged figures who remove the basket to Shinar. It is a sobering reminder that evil must be taken seriously—and a comforting assurance that ADONAI sees what is hidden and has wickedness firmly within His power.
