"Grace, Grief, and the Pierced One" (Zechariah 12:10-14) - Daily Manna - 08/21/26

Grace changes the way we see ourselves, the One we pierced, and even those we might call our enemies.

In Zechariah 12:10–14, ADONAI promises to pour out a spirit of grace and supplication upon His people. Their eyes are opened, they look toward the One they pierced, and genuine mourning spreads family by family and person by person.

This teaching explores the powerful connection between receiving God’s favor and pleading for His favor toward others. From Abraham interceding for Sodom to Zechariah’s vision of Israel looking upon the Pierced One, we see that true grace does more than forgive us—it transforms our hearts. And beyond the mourning lies an extraordinary promise: a fountain opened for cleansing.

Grace opens our eyes. Grief brings us to repentance. And the Pierced One is the One who opens the fountain of cleansing.
