God is doing more than rescuing His people—He is cleansing, gathering, and refining them.
Zechariah 13 opens with a fountain for sin and impurity, moves to the striking of ADONAI’s Shepherd and the scattering of the flock, and closes with a remnant brought through the fire like silver and gold. In this powerful prophetic picture, we see the work of Yeshua, the removal of idolatry and falsehood, and God’s purpose in refining a people who can truly say, “ADONAI is my God.”
The fire is not the destination. God brings His people through it, removing what does not belong and forming them into who He always intended them to be.
