The truth about Yeshua cannot be reduced, softened, or separated from the cross.

In 1 John 5:6–13, John reminds believers that Messiah Yeshua came “by water and blood”—not by water only. He is not merely a teacher, an example, or a source of blessing. He is Ben-Elohim, the Son of God, who came in the fullness of who He is to cleanse us, atone for our sins, and give us eternal life.

This teaching calls us back to the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood all testify that life is found in the Son. And John writes these things so that those who believe in the name of Ben-Elohim may know that they have eternal life.
