“A Hygiene Check-Up for the Body” (3 John) - Daily Manna - 06/25/26
A healthy Body needs more than good words—it needs truth, love, humility, and faithful action.
In 3 John, we see a spiritual hygiene check-up for the Body of Messiah. Gaius is commended because his soul is healthy, his life is walking in truth, and his hospitality is helping advance the work of the gospel. But Diotrephes reveals the danger of a heart that loves to be first, resists correction, slanders others, and shuts down the work of the Kingdom.
This teaching calls us to examine the health of our own souls. Are we walking in truth? Are we receiving those who serve on behalf of the Name? Are we imitating what is good—or quietly reflecting the spirit of control, pride, and self-exaltation?
Loved one, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good.
