"The Taste Test" (1 John 4:7-13) - Daily Manna - 06/12/26

The label may say “God is love,” but the taste test reveals what is really being produced in us.
In 1 John 4:7–13, John calls us back to the love that comes from God, is defined by God, and is revealed through Messiah Yeshua. Love is not merely a feeling, a slogan, or religious language. It is the fruit of a life born of God and shaped by the self-giving love of Yeshua.
This teaching explores the difference between the test of the message and the test of the fruit. We may know the right words, but the real question is: does our life taste like the love of God? If God so loved us, then we also ought to love one another—not just in word or talk, but in deed and truth.
Loved ones, let us love one another. Love is from God.
