"When Wealth Becomes a Witness" (James 5:1-6) - Daily Manna - 07/17/26

Jul 17, 2026    Rabbi Cosmo Panzetta

Our wealth tells a story about what is happening within our hearts.

In Jacob 5:1–6, the rich are given a severe prophetic warning—not simply because they possess wealth, but because they have hoarded it, withheld rightful wages, ignored the cries of the vulnerable, and lived in self-indulgence at the expense of others.

This teaching examines how wealth can become a witness, revealing where we place our trust and whether our daily choices truly reflect the generous and just character of God. The Lord desires wholeness in us, where our faith shapes not only our worship but also how we earn, spend, save, give, conduct business, and care for those in need.
