"When the Pop Quiz Reveals What's Lacking" (James 1:2-8) - Daily Manna - 06/30/26

When life hands you a test you did not study for, it often reveals more than the circumstance—it reveals what is still being formed in you.

In Jacob 1:2–8, we are reminded that trials are not meaningless interruptions. They are moments that test our faith, produce endurance, and expose the places where we still lack wisdom, maturity, patience, trust, or steadiness. But the good news is this: when the pop quiz reveals what is lacking, we are not left alone with the results. We are invited to bring that lack to the giving God, who gives wisdom without hesitation and without reproach.

This teaching calls us to let total joy lead the way, allow endurance to do its completing work, and ask the Lord for the wisdom to stand steady instead of being tossed back and forth by every wind.
