"Faith With Breath in Its Lungs" (James 2:14-26) - Daily Manna - 07/09/26
Faith was never meant to remain only in our words. James presses us with a piercing question: What good is it? What is the value of a faith that blesses the hungry but does not feed them, affirms truth but does not walk in obedience, or claims to trust God but never moves when He speaks?
In James 2:14–26, we see that whole faith is not faith versus action—it is faith in action. Abraham believed God, and that faith was brought to its fullness through obedience. Rahab trusted the God of Israel, and that trust became courageous action. Just as the body without breath is dead, faith without action is dead.
This teaching calls us to examine whether our faith has breath in its lungs: living, moving, loving, obeying, and demonstrating the character of Messiah Yeshua in the way we respond to God and to people.
