"What the Pressure Can Produce" (James 1:12-18) - Daily Manna - 07/02/26

Pressure has a way of revealing what is really in the heart.

In James 1:12–18, Jacob shows us that trials do not just test our circumstances—they expose what is happening within us. Pressure can produce endurance that keeps loving the Lord, but it can also reveal cravings that, if left unchecked, give birth to sin and death.

But the passage does not end in despair. Every good and perfect gift comes from above, from the Father of lights, who does not shift, change, or mix darkness into His work. By His will, He brings us forth by the word of truth, making us a kind of firstfruits of His new creation.

This teaching invites us to stop blaming God for what our flesh produces, bring what the pressure reveals into the light, and let His word bring forth new life in us.
