"He Wants More Than Roses" (James 4:1-6) - Daily Manna - 07/14/26

The battles around us often reveal a deeper war taking place within us.

In James/Jacob 4:1–6, Jacob traces our quarrels, jealousy, and frustrated desires back to the heart. When “my way” becomes more important than God’s way, even our prayers can become attempts to get God to serve our selfish desires. Yet this piercing diagnosis is followed by extraordinary hope: God jealously longs for our wholehearted devotion, and His grace is greater than everything dividing us from Him.

Discover why God wants more than religious gestures, correct words, or outward obedience—He wants us, from the deepest part of who we are.
