"I Can See Your Dad in You" (1 John 2:29-3:10) - Daily Manna - 06/08/26

The children of God should bear the resemblance of their Heavenly Father.

In 1 John 2:29–3:10, John gives us a clear and searching picture of what it means to be born of God. If He is righteous, then those born of Him are called to walk in righteousness. If Yeshua appeared to take away sins and destroy the works of the devil, then we cannot make peace with the very things He came to remove.

This teaching looks at the family resemblance of faith: not perfection, not pretending we have no sin, but abiding in Messiah, bringing our darkness into the light, and growing in the character of the Father. The question is not merely what we claim, but whose likeness is being formed in us.
