“Fellowship in Tribulation” (Philippians 4:14-17) - Daily Manna - 10/06/26

Some gifts do more than meet a need—they say, “I see you. I remember you. I’m with you.”
In Phil. 4:14–17, Paul rejoices over the Philippians’ generosity, not simply because their gift supplied what he lacked, but because it revealed what was happening in their hearts. They were sharing in his affliction, standing with him even while facing troubles of their own.
This is koinōnia—fellowship that becomes tangible. It is the mind of Messiah looking beyond its own needs and entering into the burdens of another. Paul wasn’t pursuing their gift; he was rejoicing over the spiritual fruit their gift revealed.
True fellowship doesn’t disappear when life becomes difficult. It draws near and says, “You are not alone. I am with you.”
