“When the Theoretical Has a Real Name” (Philippians 4:1-3) - 09/29/26

Faith gets real when the theoretical has a name.

It is easy to agree that we should have the mind of Messiah, walk in humility, and put others ahead of ourselves—until a real person, real disagreement, and real hurt enter the picture. In Phil. 4:1–3, Paul names Euodia and Syntyche and brings everything he has taught about the mind of Messiah into the nitty-gritty of real relationships.

This teaching challenges us to stop asking, “How do I win?” and instead ask, “How can Messiah win in this?” When obedience becomes personal, will we stand firm in the Lord, pursue the same mind in Messiah, and allow the Body to help bring healing and restoration?

When the theoretical has a real name, may our lives show that the Good News is more than something we believe—it is something we live.
