"IF ONLY You had Listened... IF ONLY You WILL" (Isaiah 48:17-22) - Daily Manna - 03/06/26

Have you ever found yourself thinking, “If only I had listened…”? Isaiah 48:17–22 confronts that painful question—but it also opens a door to hope.

In this teaching, the Lord reminds His people who He is: Redeemer (Go’el), the Holy One of Israel, the Teacher who leads to life, and the Guide who walks the path before us. He reveals that true shalom—peace, wholeness, and well-being—does not come from external circumstances or physical location. It isn’t found simply by being in Jerusalem instead of Babylon, or by changing our surroundings.

Shalom is found where the heart is aligned with the LORD.

A person can be in the Promised Land and still lack peace—or be in exile and walk in God’s ways. The issue is not geography. The issue is whether we shema—hear and heed what God says.

Isaiah’s words reveal both the sorrow of missed opportunities and the mercy of a new invitation. The Lord still calls His people: Come out of Babylon. Listen this time. Walk in My ways—and you will discover the river of shalom I intended all along.
