“Babylon Has an Expiration Date” (Isaiah 47:1-15) - Daily Manna - 03/03/26

Mar 3, 2026    Rabbi Cosmo Panzetta

Babylon always looks permanent — until it falls.

In Isaiah 47, God speaks to an empire that believed it was untouchable. Powerful. Secure. Forever. But the Lord declares something sobering: Babylon has an expiration date.

This teaching explores how Isaiah’s prophecy speaks to three layers at once — ancient Babylon, the spiritual pride behind every empire, and the “Babylon” mindset shaping our world today. When culture exalts itself and says, “I am — and there is no one besides me,” God responds with justice, exposure, and redemption.

If you’ve ever wondered:

- Is God really in control when evil seems to win?

- How should believers live inside a culture of pride and indulgence?

- What does it mean to “come out of Babylon”?

This message is for you.

Babylon falls. The Lord stands. And salvation is nearer than we think.
