"The Things You Are Carrying Cannot Carry You" (Isaiah 46:1-7) - Daily Manna - 02/27/26

What are you carrying that was never meant to carry you?

In Isaiah 46, God exposes the emptiness of idols—not just ancient statues, but anything we lean on for security, control, or rescue. The nations carried their gods on their shoulders… but those gods couldn’t answer, couldn’t move, and couldn’t save.

Then the Lord speaks with breathtaking tenderness:

“I have carried you from the womb… even to your old age I will carry you… I will deliver you.” (Isa. 46:3–4)

This is a powerful reminder that the burdens we cling to cannot sustain us—but the God of Israel has always been the One who carries His people… and ultimately bears our sin through His Servant (Isaiah 53).

If you’re exhausted, weighed down, or trusting in things that keep failing you, this message is an invitation to let go—and let God carry you.
