"Unchanging Purposes. Unorthodox Methods." (Isaiah 46:8-13) - Daily Manna - 03/02/26

What do you do when it feels like God isn’t answering?

In Isaiah 46:8–13, the LORD speaks directly into that tension. Babylon’s idols have to be carried. They cannot answer. They cannot rescue. But the God of Israel declares something radically different: “Remember this… I am God—there is no other… My purpose will stand… I bring My righteousness near.”

In this teaching, we walk through three anchors straight from the text:

·      Remember who He is — When exile dulls your thinking and culture pressures your convictions, God calls you to remember the “former things from eternity.”

·      Trust His unchanging purpose — He declares the end from the beginning. History is not improvised. His counsel will stand.

·      Receive His near salvation — Even when His methods are unorthodox, His righteousness is not far away.

God’s purposes never change — even when His methods surprise us. If you’re in a season where heaven feels silent and the world looks like it’s winning, this passage reminds you: He told you ahead of time so you would not be shaken.

Hold firm. His salvation is near.
