"Sukkot: Between Deliverance and the Promise" (Lev. 23:33-43) - Shabbat - 09/26/26

Between deliverance and the promise lies the wilderness—and Sukkot reminds us that God is with us there.

Israel was brought out of Egypt and promised a land of inheritance, but between the two was a wilderness journey where ADONAI taught His people to depend upon Him. Through the fragile sukkah, the manna from heaven, and the Tabernacle in their midst, Israel learned that God Himself was their Shelter, His Word was their Sustenance, and His Presence was their greatest security.

Sukkot calls us to remember that lesson today. Our circumstances may feel temporary, uncertain, or uncomfortable, but the God who brought us out has not abandoned us in-between. He has made His dwelling among us, and He will faithfully lead us all the way to His promise.

Rejoice in the wilderness. The King of the Universe has pitched His Tent among us.
