"Hidden Heroes in a Dry Land" (1 Kings 18:1-16) - Shabbat - 09/05/26

Sep 5, 2026    Rabbi Cosmo Panzetta

God’s greatest work is often happening through people the world never notices.

In Hidden Heroes in a Dry Land, we meet Obadiah—a faithful servant of ADONAI living and working right inside the palace of Ahab and Jezebel. While Israel suffers through physical and spiritual drought, Obadiah shows us that God strategically places His servants in surprising places, calls us to obedience even when it frightens us, and values faithfulness that happens far from the spotlight.

You may never be famous. Your faithfulness may never make the history books. But God sees, God knows, and He can use you exactly where He has planted you. We are not called to make our names known—we are called to make His Name known.
