"After the Fire" (1 Kings 18:41-19:8) - Shabbat - 10/24/26

You can do everything God asks of you and still feel like you've failed.

Elijah had just witnessed one of the greatest victories in Israel's history. Fire fell from heaven. Rain ended a three-and-a-half-year drought. The people declared that ADONAI alone is God! Yet instead of the repentance he hoped for, Elijah encountered hardened hearts, threats, and bitter disappointment.

The prophet who had been running in faith was suddenly running in fear.

In 1 Kings 18:41–19:8, we discover how even the most faithful servants of God can become overwhelmed when obedience doesn't produce the results they expected. But beneath a lonely broom tree, Elijah discovers something extraordinary: When our strength runs out, God's faithfulness doesn't.

Join us for this powerful reminder that our feelings of failure don't determine our faithfulness—and God isn't finished with us simply because we feel finished.
