"The Accuser Does Not Get the Final Word" (Zechariah 3:1-5) - 07/30/26

The accuser may point to every stain, failure, and reason you seem disqualified—but he does not get the final word.

In Zechariah’s powerful courtroom vision, Joshua the high priest stands before ADONAI in filthy garments while the accuser brings his case against him. Yet ADONAI does not abandon Joshua to his shame. He rebukes the accuser, removes Joshua’s iniquity, clothes him in fine garments, and restores him to his holy calling.

This teaching from Zech. 3:1–5 reveals the important difference between condemnation and conviction. The accuser exposes sin in order to destroy, but ADONAI reveals sin so that He can cleanse, restore, and make us new. You may have been scorched by the fire, but God is not finished with His purposes for your life.
