"A Song of Joy!" (Isaiah 61:10-11) - Daily Manna - 05/01/26
This is not just a promise of change—it’s a declaration of transformation.
Isaiah 61 closes with a song, but it’s not a quiet one. It’s the sound of the redeemed rejoicing—those once clothed in mourning now wrapped in salvation, those once defined by shame now adorned in righteousness. The Servant has done what no one else could do.
And now, the response is joy.
“I will rejoice greatly in ADONAI… for He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me in a robe of righteousness…” (Is. 61:10)
But who is singing? The Anointed One? The redeemed? The answer is both.
This is a wedding song. The Bridegroom who accomplished salvation and the bride who received it are now rejoicing together. The One who clothed Himself in righteousness (Is. 59) now clothes His people in it. The ones once in ashes now wear beauty. The ones once bowed down now lift their voices in praise.
And the result?
“As the earth brings forth its sprouts… so ADONAI Elohim will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.” (Is. 61:11)
What God plants will grow. What He begins will flourish. And what He has done in His people will not stay hidden—it will be seen.
This is more than restoration. This is a new identity, a new covering, and a new song.
