What happens when God offers rest—but we choose control instead? 

Isaiah 28 exposes a sobering exchange: God invites His people into true rest, clarity, and trust, yet religious leaders reject it in favor of something that feels safer—manageable religion. Line upon line. Command upon command. Legalism that looks orderly but misses the heart of God. 

This teaching walks through Isaiah 28:7–13, revealing how pride intoxicates spiritual leaders, blurs discernment, and replaces living faith with rigid systems. When rest is refused, God allows people to experience the futility of control—walking backward into brokenness, confusion, and captivity.
