"The Big 'If'" (1 Kings 11-12) - Shabbat - 08/08/26
One little word can separate incredible promise from tragic wasted potential: “if.”
Jeroboam was given an extraordinary promise from God—a kingdom and the possibility of an enduring dynasty. But when God didn’t move fast enough, Jeroboam tried to rush the process. And when fear convinced him he might lose what God had given him, he took matters into his own hands.
In “The Big ‘If,’” we discover the striking difference between David and Jeroboam: two men with remarkable promises, but very different responses. Learn why we must trust God’s timing, trust His promise, and trust Him enough to obey—even when waiting is difficult and fear tells us to take control.
Don’t let fear rewrite what God has written. If God has spoken, trust Him to fulfill His Word in His way and in His time.
