"Are You Really Looking for Security from Your Stuffed Animals" (Isaiah 41:1-7) - Daily Manna - 02/0
What are you really trusting in when life starts shaking?
In Isaiah 41, God summons the nations into His courtroom—not to crush them, but to invite them. “Be silent before Me… let the peoples renew (“exchange”) their strength… let them draw near.”
Yet instead of drawing near to the Lord, the nations turn to each other… and to idols they literally have to nail down so they won’t totter.
This teaching confronts the false securities we cling to—our modern “stuffed animals”—and calls us to exchange shaky strength for the only strength that lasts: the strength found in waiting on Adonai.
God is not only the Lord of Israel—He is the Lord of history, the First and the Last, inviting the ends of the earth to come close and trust Him.
If you’ve been surrounding your life with things that can’t hold you, this is your invitation to draw near and find real security.
