"We Need You Today: Prayer as the Cry of the Apprentice" (Luke 11:1-13) - Shabbat - 02/07/26
What if prayer isn’t a religious performance… but the cry of an apprentice who knows they can’t do this life without God?
In Luke 11:1–13, the disciples make their one unforgettable request: “Master, teach us to pray.” Yeshua answers with a simple pattern—Avinu, Our Father… holy… YOUR Kingdom… daily bread… forgiveness… protection—and then He tells a midnight story about a friend who won’t stop knocking. Why? Because real prayer isn’t polished. It’s personal. Persistent. Dependent.
And then comes the beautiful promise: the Father doesn’t just give provision—He gives His Presence. The Ruach ha-Kodesh. Because the deepest answer to “We need You today” is God Himself—near, attentive, and present in the “Samaria” spaces of real life.
If you’ve drifted into formula… if your prayers feel numb… if you’re walking through hostile territory and you need strength—this message is an invitation to pray the Yeshua way.
