"The Road We’d Rather Avoid Is Where Yeshua Shapes Us" (Luke 9:51-10:20) - Shabbat - 01/17/26

Most of us love saying “Follow Me” to Yeshua—until He leads us down a road we’d rather avoid. In Luke 9:51–10:20, Yeshua intentionally takes His disciples through Samaria: hostile, uncomfortable, and full of rejection… and that’s exactly where He shapes them.

This teaching walks through three ways Yeshua forms His people on the hard road:

1.    He leads us out of what’s familiar,

2.    He exposes what we’re holding onto, and

3.    He sends us where the harvest is—right into the places we’d rather bypass.

If you’ve been resisting an uncomfortable season, a difficult conversation, or a calling that doesn’t feel “your style,” this message will help you see it differently: the road you’d rather avoid may be the very place Yeshua is forming you into a reflection of His heart.
