"The Wrong 'High and Lofty' Place" (Isaiah 57:1-13) - Daily Manna - 04/09/26

What happens when people keep the symbols of faith, but look everywhere else for security?
In this teaching from Isaiah 57, we confront the danger of trusting the wrong high and lofty place—the false refuges, alliances, and idols we run to when fear and anxiety take over. This passage is a sobering call to abandon our own ways, stop making peace with compromise, and return fully to the Lord as our only true refuge.
Isaiah exposes the emptiness of divided devotion—but also holds out a promise: the one who takes refuge in the Lord will inherit His holy mountain.
