“Teruah! Sound the Alarm” (Joel 2:1-4) - Shabbat Shuvah - 09/27/25
“Teruah! Sound the Alarm” (Joel 2:1-4)
This is not a drill. Yom Teruah is God’s wake-up call in the Days of Awe, a shouting reminder that the Day of Atonement is near. In this message we hear the heavenly siren of Joel 2:1–11—the alarm that judgment is at the door—and the mercy of Joel 2:12–14—“Yet even now… return to Me.” Learn the meaning behind Tekiah, Shevarim, and Teruah, why the Lord Himself leads the wake-up call, and how to respond with teshuvah that rends the heart, not the garments. Don’t hit snooze—run to the only true shelter.
God’s alarms are the love of a Good Father—warnings that lead to restoration, not despair.
If this stirred you, share it with someone who needs a holy wake-up today, and let us know how you’re responding to His “Yet even now.”
