"Lost and Found: Pursued, Sought, and Welcomed Home" (Luke 15:11-24) - Shabbat - 05/02/2026
May 2, 2026 • Rabbi Cosmo Panzetta
The Lord’s heart is not reluctant to receive the lost—He rejoices to welcome them home.
In Luke 15, Yeshua answers the complaints of the religious insiders with three unforgettable pictures: a shepherd pursuing one lost sheep, a woman searching for one lost coin, and a father running to embrace a son who squandered everything. These stories reveal the love, patience, mercy, and joy of God toward those who wander, those who feel forgotten, and those who finally come home.
This message explores why Yeshua welcomed sinners and tax collectors, what true repentance looks like, and how the Father’s grace is far more lavish than we often imagine.
