What happens when God leads you far from everything familiar—away from home, away from your comfort zone, and straight into the unknown?
In Parsha Vayetze (Genesis 28–32), Jacob runs for his life and spends his first night truly alone, with nothing but a stone for a pillow. In that lonely place, heaven opens, angels ascend and descend, and ADONAI speaks: “Behold, I am with you… I will watch over you… and I will bring you back to this land” (Genesis 28:15 TLV).
This message explores how God:
Goes with you into the unknown – meeting you in the places you never wanted to be.
Keeps you through every trial – not by removing hardship, but by forming your character through it.
Brings you home in His timing – fulfilling His promises after a “few days” that may feel more like twenty years.
Whether you feel far from home spiritually, emotionally, or physically, this teaching reminds you: you are not abandoned. The same God who watched over Jacob in exile is with you in your wilderness, shaping you, guarding you, and leading you all the way home.
