"The Prowl Before the Pounce" (Numbers 22-25) - Shabbat - 06/27/26
The enemy does not always attack in obvious ways. Sometimes he prowls quietly, circling from a distance, using deceptive voices, spiritual-sounding language, and hidden strategies to pull God’s people away from trust and obedience.
In the Torah portion Balak, Israel is unaware that curses are being attempted over them from the heights—but ADONAI sees what they cannot see. And when the curse cannot land, the enemy shifts tactics. What cannot destroy Israel from the outside begins to destroy them from within through compromise.
This teaching is a call to wake up, stay alert, reject deceptive voices, close the doors of compromise, and return fully under the blessing, protection, and authority of ADONAI. The enemy may prowl, but he is not greater than our God.
