When it Doesn’t Feel like God is With Us… He Still Is? (Isaiah 8:1-8)

When the floodwaters rise and it feels like God is absent, Isaiah reminds us of the greater truth: Immanuel—God with us. In Isaiah 8:1–8, a child’s name becomes a living sign of judgment, while God’s promise of presence remains unshaken. The people rejected the gentle stream of God’s provision for the raging river of worldly power, but the Lord still declared, “I am with you.”

This message explores the contrast between trusting in human strength and resting in God’s steady faithfulness. Even when it doesn’t feel like He’s with us—He still is.
