What do you do when you’re walking in darkness and there seems to be no light? Isaiah 51:1–8 calls us to resist the temptation to kindle our own fire and instead trust the voice of the Servant, lean on the faithfulness of God, and see life through the eyes of eternity. This teaching explores the contrast between self-reliance and surrendered trust, the comfort God gives to those pursuing righteousness, and the hope we find when we look back at His faithfulness to Abraham, Sarah, and Zion. When everything temporary feels overwhelming, this message reminds us that God’s salvation and righteousness will never fade.
