“The Fear Means I’ve Forgotten” (Isaiah 51:9-16) - Daily Manna - 03/18/26
Fear often feels overwhelming—but what if fear is actually a signal that we’ve forgotten something important?
In Isaiah 51:9–16, God reminds His people to look beyond the threats in front of them and remember who He is. The same God who defeated Egypt, parted the sea, and redeemed His people with an outstretched arm is still at work today. When fear fills our vision, it’s often because we’ve forgotten our Maker—the One who stretched out the heavens, laid the foundations of the earth, and calls His people His own.
This teaching explores the powerful cry of Isaiah and the faithful: “Awake, O arm of the LORD—do it again!” It’s a call to remember God’s past faithfulness, trust His promises, and fix our eyes on the greater reality of His salvation and righteousness that will never fade.
If you’ve been walking through anxiety, uncertainty, or pressure, this passage offers a powerful reminder: the LORD is still the One who comforts.
