Hezekiah asked God for a sign—and God answered with the impossible: the shadow moved backward. You’d think a miracle like that would settle your faith forever… but Scripture shows something far more honest: it’s shockingly easy to forget what God has done once the crisis passes.

In Isaiah 38:9–22, Hezekiah writes a personal “psalm” from the edge of death—lament, repentance, and awakening—revealing how God sometimes uses bitterness to bring shalom, wholeness.
