When you’re cornered, afraid, and running out of options, the enemy never shows up with pure lies—he shows up with truth mixed with poison. In Isaiah 36:11–22, Assyria’s spokesman speaks in the people’s language, exposes what was hidden, and tries to hijack fear into surrender. He admits what’s true (Egypt can’t save you)… then slips in the fatal deception: “Don’t trust ADONAI either.”
This teaching walks through the “aqueduct of decision”—where Judah’s leaders wanted secret negotiations, where shame gets exposed, and where the enemy’s popular appeal pressures God’s people to abandon trust at the last moment. You’ll see how empty religion can mimic faith while avoiding obedience, how the enemy tries to co-opt God’s promises (vine, fig tree, peace), and why Assyria’s biggest mistake is comparing ADONAI to powerless idols.
If you’ve ever felt surrounded, disillusioned, or tempted to believe God failed you—this is the moment to learn how to discern the mix, refuse the intimidation, and return to the One who truly delivers.
