“From Wrestling to Rest” (Psalms 77, 17) - Daily Manna - 09/17/25
From Wrestling to Rest (Psalms 77, 17)
When life squeezes and the night won’t end, do we trust our emotions or God’s Word? In this Daily Manna, we walk with Asaph and David through the honest wrestling of Psalm 77 into the rest of Psalm 17. We name the hard questions (“Has His chesed – His love – ceased?”), then choose to remember God’s wonders, rehearse His faithfulness, and cling to His unseen footprints that lead through the sea. Finally, we resolve with David: “As for me… when I awake, I will be satisfied with Your likeness.” (Ps 17:15, TLV)
You’ll learn how to:
• Pray honestly without enthroning your emotions
• Reframe the night by remembering God’s deeds
• Guard your mouth, grip His paths, and entrust justice to Him
• Love enemies and look more like Yeshua when the morning comes
If this encourages you, share it with a friend who’s in a midnight of the soul.
