“Prep for Awe:  The Shofar that Wakes Us Up” (Isaiah 58:1-7)


As the shofar sounds, it’s not just a call to gather—it’s a call to wake up. Isaiah 58 confronts our tendency to turn fasting, prayer, and Shabbat into empty routines while missing God’s heart for mercy, justice, and freedom.

In this message, Rabbi Cosmo Panzetta walks through Isaiah 58:1–7 and explores three “shofar blasts”:


• A shofar against religious self-deception

• A shofar against transactional worship

• A shofar calling us to reflect the Father’s heart through mercy and righteousness
