False teachers in Peter’s day claimed judgment wasn’t real—that Yeshua wasn’t returning, and people could live however they wanted. But Peter points back to history: the rebellious angels, the flood of Noah’s day, and the fire of Sodom and Gomorrah. Each proves that God takes sin seriously.
