“Owned by What Overcomes You” (2 Peter 2:17-22)

False teachers promise freedom but deliver slavery. Peter warns in 2 Peter 2:17–22 that they are springs without water—all talk, no life. Their lofty words entice the vulnerable, but instead of refreshing, they entangle people back into sin. The sobering truth is this: “A person is a slave to whatever has overcome him.”

This message exposes the emptiness of false promises and reminds us that real freedom is only found in Yeshua. Everyone is mastered by something—either by cravings that corrode the soul or by Messiah who brings living water and true life.

Don’t be overcome. Don’t go back to the mud. Choose the Master worth serving.
