"Faithful in the Details, Filled with the Glory" (Ex. 38:21-40) - P’Qudei - 3/25/25
In this powerful teaching from Torah Portion P’Qudei (Exodus 38–40), we explore the attending to that takes place in the final portion of Exodus. The word P’qudei—rooted in the Hebrew word paqad—means “an accounting” or “an attending to.” But this is not just a sterile inventory. It’s a reminder that God attends to His promises, His people, and His presence.
We see how God attended to Sarah in Genesis 21, fulfilling His promise, and how He attended to Israel in Exodus 4, responding to their affliction. And now, He attends to the Tabernacle, where His glory descends because His people were faithful in the details.
Even though what they gave was so small—pocket change compared to the glory that filled the Mishkan, God multiplied their offering and filled the Tabernacle with His overwhelming presence.
👉 Are we giving what He’s asked, even if it feels small?
👉 Are we attending to His instructions so that He can attend to us?
Watch as we unpack this profound truth and challenge ourselves to be faithful in the details—so that we can be filled with His glory.
