“When God Swore By Himself” (Hebrews 6:13–20)
Have you ever felt like you’re holding on… but barely? Like you’ve tasted the goodness of God, but now the wait is long, the pressure’s high, and you’re tempted to pull back? Hebrews 6 speaks to believers in that exact place—not to scare us, but to steady us.
In this message, we’re reminded: Don’t drift. Don’t stand at a distance. And above all—don’t fall away. Instead, press on by imitating the faith and perseverance of Abraham, who waited 25 years for the promise and still trusted when everything seemed impossible.
And at the heart of this passage is something even more profound: God didn’t just make a promise—He swore an oath by Himself. Why? To mark it. To plant a divine "pushpin" in salvation history—saying, “Pay attention. This moment reveals My unchanging purpose.”
Hebrews 6 takes us back to Genesis 22 and forward to Psalm 110, threading together Abraham, Isaac, Melchizedek, and Yeshua—all anchored by two unchangeable things: God’s purpose and God’s word. This is the hope we cling to. And this hope is an anchor to the soul—firm, unfailing, and already secured behind the veil by our forerunner, Yeshua.
Watch this message and let it steady you. The anchor is holding. So hold on.
